【Abstract】 Accounting to national yarn fault standard, an investigation of yarn faults detecting hasbeen made by means of a microcomputer-based optical system. The principle and method ofdetection and the flowchart for the data processing program are described. And the testingresult of 14 .7 tex cotton yarn is also given.
