【Abstract】 The components of proteoglycan of articular cartilage in children with Kashin-Beck disease were observed by Alcian blue in the different salt solution and compared with that in children with no Kashin-Beck disease. We found that the content of the keraten sulphate and condroitin sulphate of articular cartilage in children with Kashin-Beck disease was reduced but the relative content of keratan sulphate was more than that in normal cartilage.
