【Abstract】 In this paper, a new species of the genus Macrocheles is described and figured. Macrocheles jiangsuensis sp. nov. (figs. 1-9)Female (figs. 1-5)This new species resembles Macrocheles nataliae Breg. et Corel., 1960, but its female differs from the latter in D2-D6, Ⅰ and F2 setae being simple; the length of sternal plate longer than its width; the ventro-anal plate gradually expanded and reduced posteriorly; the meta-sternal plate slender and femur Ⅳ with two dilated pilose bell shap (fig. 5).Holotype female, allotype male and paratype 7 females, 4 males were collected off the litters of Apodemus agrarius in May 1984, from Danyang County (32°N, 119.5°E), Jiangsu Province.
