【Abstract】 In this paper, the age of Mushutun Formation is assigned to the late Cretaceous-Paleocene epoch, based on the data of isotopic age. After the restudy of the data of the biostrata, the age of Yangliantun is assigned to the Eocene epoch. A comparison between its bottom variegated claystone and tuff section and Guchenzi Formation of Fushun is made. According to the features of rock stratigraphy and structural stratigraphy, the Yanghe section is named as an independent Formation-the Yanghe Formation and its age is defined as Eo-Oligocene temporarily.
