【Abstract】 This paper deals with the whole process of the meiosis of pollen mother cells of the apple cultiver Changfu—2 and the relationships between meiosis, the growth and development of the tree and weather conditions.The result indicates that the meiosis process of this culiver is normal. It was found that the meiosis process begins when the flower buds burst, the process reaches its peak when the inflorescence separates with0—1 leaf unfolded and it ends when the flower is at its balloon stage. The peak of the meiosis occurs at a day’s air temperature average above 20℃. The meiosis process of the pollen mother cells of the cultiver needs 14 days from the beginning to the end. Meiosis proceeds continuousIy during day and night, without any interruption.更多还原
