【Abstract】 It was shown under EM that the purified rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus particles were nonenveloped, 32-34nm in diameter, with icosahedral T = 3 surface lattice symmetry, 32 capsomeres, 8-10nm in diameter including 12 pentamers and 20 hexamers, 180 subunits,4nm in diameter. In addition, a few of empty particles and core particles ( 23-27nm in diameter ) were observed. With the special lattice apperance, there were many holes on the surface. The number and distribution of these holes were different from those of calicivirus. It is proposed that the RHDV is a ssDNA virus with a special architecture and this should be considered in its classification.更多还原
