【Abstract】 FRK855 cells infected with herpes simplex virus type-1 ( HSV-1 ) aad infectious bevine rhinotracheitis virus ( IBRV ) were observed after 8, 16, 24 hrs infection by means of electron microscopy. Nucleocapsids with different fine structures were initially seen in the nucleus at the 8 hr post-infection. 16 hr after infection, larger amounts of nucleocapsids and homogeneous dense bodies which may be related to morphogenesis of HSV-1 and IBRV were found in the nucleus, 24 hr postinfection FRK.855 cells, nucleocapsids were transported to the cytoplasm via sites of broken nucleus membranes. Dense homogeneous spots in the en doplasmic reticu-lum membranes and a lot of nucleocapsids in the endoplasmic reticulum vesicles could be seen. Whether these findings suggest the assembly of HSV-1 and IBRV taking place in the cytoplasm await further study.更多还原
