【Abstract】 A retrospective analysis of a serles of 159 patients treated for chest wall recurrenc?of breast cancer after mastectomy showed a 5-year survival rate of 33. 3%. Patients with large rectirrent lesions or multiple nodes, short remission time andlow radiation dosage had an unfavorable prognosis. Smsll field irradiation gave worseresult than that of large field or whole chest wall irradiation. The author recommendslarge fields and a dosage greater than 50 Gy. 83 patients had received chemotherapybefore or after radiation, and unfavorable prognosis occurred more in this group. The5-year survival rate in radio-plus chemotherapy group and radiation alone group was39. 8%and 26. 3% respectively. The results favored the use of radiotherapy plus chemotherapy for patients whoexpected an unfavorable prognosis.更多还原
