【Abstract】 A new marinc C₂₈-sterol, Echifloristerol, was isolated from a Chinese gorgo- nia Echinogorgia Floria（Nutting） collected in Naozhou island. The crude acet one extract was separated on a silica gel column and eluted with petroleum ether containing increasing amounts of acetone. The crude echifloristerol obtained from petroleum ether-7% acetone eluted portion was recrystallized from ethyl acetate to give colorless plate crystal with m. p.136～137℃. On the basis of spectral analysis, the structure of echiforisterol was assigned as 22 ξ-methyl Δ^{3（6）23（24）} cholestane-3β-ol I.更多还原
