【Abstract】 Eighteen pa’tients with pathologically proved osteogenic sarcoma treated with local radiation and arterial perfusion of cytotoxic agents followed by a half year of systemic chemotherapy are reported. Prior to the institution of this regimen, four patients had already had pulmonary metastases and three were complicated by pathologic fracture at the primary site.Follow-up periods ranged from 4-38 months (mean 14.53 months) . The survival rate was 77% (14/18).Four of these 18 patients died 15-27 months (mean 22 months) after treatment. No local recurrence or other complications were observed in these patients.This study suggests synergistic action of radiation and cytotoxic agents against this tumor.更多还原
