【Abstract】 In this paper,the theory of intensity modulator using a confocal Fabry-Perot inter-ferometer is discussed.It is shown that the intensity modulator has two advantages:small wavedistortion and large conversion coefficient.When reflectivity the mirrors is 0.993,the con-version coefficient from phase to intensity is about 70.So it is suitable for detecting weak sig-nal.Two Kinds of applications for weak signal detection is also analysed,experimental conditionand the potential application is simply discussed.更多还原
