【Abstract】 In this paper, we evaluated the influence of magnesium addition on the effect of modification and tested whether the modifying process was necessary or not. It was found that the properties of pistons casting with no modifying melts were satisfying, as long as the magnesium content in alloy was controlled and the pistons were heat-treated in Te condition. Without modifying process, economical benefit was increased, working condition was improved and environmental contamination was decreased更多还原
