【Abstract】 For the purpose of understanding the relationship between the reducing fat effect of acupuncture and moxibustion and the blood sugar (BS) and glycoregulatory hormones, the change of obesity indication, the content of the fasting BS adrenaline (Ad) and cortisol (CS) in plasma were observed in 44 patients surfring fron simple obesity before and after the acupuncture and moxibustion. The results showed that the obesity indication and the fasting BS content decreased very significantly, but the Ad and CS content increased markedly significantly after the acupuncture and moxibustion. The results also showed that the decreasing of the fasting BS content and the increasing of Ad content in patients were closely related to the therapeutic effect of acupuncture and moxibustion. The foregoing results indicated that the acupuncture and moxibustion not only regulated the BS content, but also regulated the level of glycoregulatory hormones. It suggested that the regulating abnormal carbohydrate metabolism of patients might be the key link of the reducing fat effect by acupuncture and moxibustion.更多还原
