【摘要】 本文研究了影响激光加热小平面基座法生长的单晶光纤品质的因素。实验得出:在一定的拉速与送速的速度比下,生长无明显的显微映陷单晶光纤的熔区长度 LP=k(D+d),(D、d 分别为源棒和光纤直径),对于 Nd:YAG 和 Al2O3,k 分别为0.70±0.04和0.65±0.03。在源棒直径 D 与送速 VS不变的条件下,拉速 V?越大,所需的加热功率越小,理论分析与实验结果相一致。研究了影响生长的光纤直径波动的因素,解释了直径波动百分比随着速度比增大而增大的实验事实。

【Abstract】 Some factors affecting the quality of single crystal fibersgrown by the laser heated pedestal growth technique have been studied.As isshown by experiment,for a successful growth of crystal fibers without apparentmicro defects under fixed a pulling speed to feeding speed ratio,the relationLr=k(D+d)must be satisfied,where L_p is the length of the melting zone,D and d,the diameters of the source rod and fiber respectively,and k,a constant depending on the material.Under fixed source rod diameter andfeeding speed,the required heating power will be less as the pulling speed isincreased.This experimental result is in good agreement with the theoreticalone obtained from the theory of the equilibrium of thermal energy withinthe range of errors.Another experimental fact that the diameter fluctuationincreases with the increase of the speed ratio has also been explained byusing the same theory.
