【Abstract】 In March 1982 and January 1984, 300 artificial frame fishrcefs of three sizes were put into the waters northeast of Nanao Island . Total volume of the fishreef bodies amounted to 854.1m3 , and the fishreef area accounted to 13.1×104m2.The fish species in the fishreef area have increased from 14 to 58 in four years after laying the fishreefs.Fishing operations in the fishreef area include handline . long line , gill net, etc. among which the profit of handline operation makes up 51.97 % of the whole area’s output value, holding predominant position . The handline operation makes precious Groupers as its main object.Comparison with handline operation between the fishreef area and its surrounding natural reefs, shows that in output value of Groupers,both areas give the same percentage, but as regards indexes determining benefit of fishing grounds, such as fishing operation rate,catching rate, catch composition range, economic fishes catch percentage,etc., the fishreef area predominates over the natural reef area.In aspects of conservation and multiplication of fishery resources the fish-reef area has demonstrated to be effective as well. The juveniles of Greater Croakers (Pseudosclaena crocea) and Groupers (Epinephelus spp. ) have come to inhabit the fishreefs.更多还原
