【Abstract】 Cote D’ivoire has made great progress in developing tropical agriculture since it became independent in 1960. Total agricultural production value in 1985 increased 20 times of that in the year of independence. Output of cocoa and coffee has been ranked among the world’s most advanced. Total yields and yield per unit area of oil palm, coconut, rubber, pineapple and banana have mounted to the top of Africa.Success of tropical agriculture development in Cote D’ivoire, besides the natural exceptional advantages, is because a complete set of correct policies has been successfully carried out. (1) Adhering to the principle of taking agriculture as the basis and to the policy of agriculture diversification; (2) Laying good distribution of the crops in line with the local conditions, giving full play to the local advantages and making up a comparative well-conceived plan; (3) Providing preferential policies in tax revenue, price, loan and material supply so as to foster agricultural development; (4) Going all out for both internal and external open policy, relying on varied forces to support agriculture; (5) Combining closely scientific research with production, so that popularized application of scientific research results can be quickly transformed into productivity.更多还原
