单模光纤在弯曲和扭转状态下的极化特性
Polarization Characteristics of Single-Mode Optical Fibers under Bends and Twists
【摘要】 本文应用修正耦合模理论建立了弹性变形单模光纤中的场方程,导出了椭圆纤芯单模光纤在弯曲和扭转状态下的双折射和极化色散的计算公式.理论计算值与实验值吻合得较好.
【Abstract】 The electromagnetic field equations in single-mode optical fibers under elastic deformation are formulated by a modified coupled-mode theory.The formulae of birefringence and polariza- tion dispersion of single-mode optical fibers with an elliptical core geometry are derived under bends and twists.The theore- tical results agree good with the experiments.
