【Abstract】 Yuanmou Basin was one of the important regions of man’s origin and evolution, A lot of researches have been done on paleogeology, paleogeography and paleoanthropology in this area. We use the approach of nuclear physics—Mssbauer Effect—to the 17 deposit samples of Yuanmou Basin. The information such as the sourses of deposits, the differances of environments, the processes of erosion has been got by analyzing the Mssbauer parameters of those samples.
