【Abstract】 Crack propagation in concrete dams may be analysed with numerical or experimental methods. The tendency of crack due to external forces or thermal loads can be evaluated based on different criteria. In this paper the strain intensity factor criterion was used to predict the direction and initiation of crack development, and the fictitious crack element method was proposed to simulate the extending of crack. The results of finite element analysis are in good agreement with the experiment data.更多还原
