【Abstract】 Illite is a clay mineral similar to kaolinite.At present,kaolinite is used as paint for art paper at home and abroad.Illite used in this field has not been reported. First,we began to research the mineralogy of illite and then designed a rational technological process for dressing.Meanwhile,we made a refining and purifying test and coating test of art paper for illite deposit at Wanbao- he,Antu county.A satisfying result has been achieved. According to the clay mineralogy,the authors describe systematically the texture and structure of illite and its composition and physicochemical pro- perty.Meanwhile,the authors also point out the know-how of the dressing for illite and some problems which we should pay attention to,and discuss the quality requirement for paint-grade clay in papermaking industry.更多还原
