崂山湾附近海域内波的侧视雷达(SLAR)图像信息研究

【摘要】 在1987年5月进行的海洋航空遥感实验中,获得了黄海西部崂山湾附近海域(36°16′—36°30′N 120°45′—121°05′E)的内波侧视雷达(SLAR)图像。这组由8个波组成的内波,平均波长为1.32±0.24km,向岸传播的平均相速度为38cm/s,平均周期为57min;波峰线与等深线平行,图像上记录的波峰线长达40km。分析表明,这组内波可以用最低型内波理论模型来描述。

【Abstract】 The internal wave is a kind of wave motion phenomenon associated with vertical stratification of sea water in the global oceans. On some conditions they may have the obvious features on the sea surface, which can be recorded by satellite or aircraft remote sensing images. Therefore, remote sensing image has become an important source of information for the study of internal wave.During the marine airborne remote sensing experiment in May, 1987, the time series of SLAR images of internal waves occurring in the offshore shallow water nearby the Laoshan Bay of the western part of the Huanghai Sea (36°16’-36°30’N, 120°45’-121°05’E) were obtained using and Ericsson SLAR of which the working frequency is 9.4 GHz, and the spatial resolution is 60×75 m2. This group of internal waves consist of eight waves with the average wavelength of (1.32±0.24) km and the average phase speed propagating shoreward of 38 cm/s measured from the images. The average period of the waves deduced from the theoretical model and the measurements is 57 min. The crest lines are about 40 km long recorded in the images.The analyses indicate that this group of internal waves can be described by the lowest internal mode. When the average depth of thermoclines is taken as 5 m, and relative density difference 5.9×10-3, the results deduced from the theoretical model agree with measurements of SLAR. The above-mentioned values to be taken are within the reasonable extent. Some observation data of internal waves taken in recent years are listed in the paper. Comparison indicates that the results obtained in this study are within the same extent as those given by the other investigators.
