【Abstract】 Histochemical and immunohistochemical studies on eighteen cases with localized amyloidosis were performed. The results showed that 13 cases were immunoglobulin light chain(AL) protein type, 1 case was mixed type of AL and AA protein, 4 cases were endocrine related amyloid (AE)protein type. Most of cases were seen with infiltration of plasma cells around the amyloid substances in AL type amyloidosis. It is possible that both the production of the precursor protein and its processing of amyloid fibrils take place locally. On the other hand, the mechanism of amyloid produced in endocrine organs is discussed.更多还原
