【Abstract】 The general combining ability (g.c.a.) is the crucial factor for forming yield of single- cross corn for its double (both direct and indirect > function to form the yield. Therefore, the first priority sould be given to the g. c. a. in corn breeding. The method of "combining testing with using and puttingtesting in the first place." is better than that of " putting using in the first place" in the combining ability breeding of corn. And some methods and techniques about the identification of new combinations are discussed in this paper .更多还原
