【Abstract】 Satellite remote sensing data are the basis for developing global scale oceanographic study. They play an important role in the major research projects, for examples, El Nifio phenomenon, increment of carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere, air-sea interaction, and oceanic circulation and so on, For global international cooperation projects of oceanographic study which are being performed or will be performed, there are marine remote sensing satellite missions to co-ordinate them.
