【Abstract】 The activity and distribution of Cesium-137 in the Kuroshio arid its adjacent waters （28°28′—36°31′N, 126°29′—145°00′E） was investigated during the period from May to June 1986. The analytical results obtained from the surface water samples collected in thirty-four stations showed that the activity of Cesium-137 in all samples ranged from （0.55—7.6）×10^-2 Bq/L and the average value was 2.43×10^-2 Bq/L. The distribution tendency of Cesium-137 is that its radioactive level in the south-eastern region of Honshu appeared to be higher than that in the southern region of Japan and in the north-eastern region of the East China sea. The significant correlation is not observed between the activity of Cesium-137 and the salinity in seawater.更多还原
