【Abstract】 In order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the current status of occupational health in China’s metallurgical industry was critically reviewed in several respects including administrative services, silica hazard, occupational cancers, chemical poisonings, physical hazards, environmental monitoring techniques and ergonomical problems.
