【Abstract】 The design and operation of a purge-and-trap concentration apparatus for the determination of trace volatile organics in water are described. The analytes are purge-trapped and adsorbed on a Tenax GC column,then desorbed directly into a capillary GC column and detected by FID or MS.Optimal analytical operating conditions are studied including purge time, desorption temperature as well as the gas chromatographic conditions. The detection limits are 0.01-0.30ppb, the precision of the peak area is better than 6.9%, and the percentage recoveries are more than 74% for 16 compounds.更多还原
