【Abstract】 This article deals with the funnel-shaped Qiantang Estuary which is world-renowned for its magnificient tidal bore. After summarizing briefly its geomorphological and hydrodynamic characteristics, a retrospect of its historical development and evolution process is given and finally the prospect on various suggested projects of its future development is introduced and commented which may provide reference for drafting the short-term and long-term development schemes of the estuary.更多还原
