【Abstract】 The pharyngenal armatures of the sandflies are one of the most important taxonomic characters. Understanding the shape, size and situation of their teeth is of a higher taxonomic value. The observation on the pharyngenai armatures of Phlebotmus chinensis, P.c. longiductus, P. kiangsuensis, P. mongolensis and Sergentomyia suni by scanning electron microscopy shows that there are more than 10 shapes of teeth in the pharynx. Thus, the variety of their sizes, positions and arrangements results in the different species.更多还原
