【Abstract】 Comparing the measured results of two modelling experiments with thoseof numerical modelling by use of the discrete element method, the feasibilityof applying the discrete element method to slope failure is verified. The resultsreveal the mechanism of slope failure and show the discontinuity of stressdistribution in blocky slope, and we find out a phenomenon that there existsome "stress nuclei" in the blocky slope when using the discrete elementmethod.更多还原
