【Abstract】 By using a special merror group, a method of three dimensional image analysis and measurement is provided. By this method, the authors have finished the measurements of all the three dimensional characteristics of 62 dental casts. The other purpose of the study is to determine the mesio-distal diameters of certain permanent teeth by using a standardized measuring technique. For each dental cast mesio-distal crown diameters and part of Arch cycle are obtained from stone casts of the permanent dentition of 62 (31 female and 31 male) and have been statistically analysed.Practice has proved that there are a lot of advantages of this method.
