【Abstract】 This paper introduces BJ-40 Glass, the chemical composition of which is 74.8 SiO2, 3.5 Al2O3, 14.7 B2O3,2.0 BaO,0.5 K3O,and 4.5 Na2O in wt%, with thermal expansion coefficient α=41.05×10-7℃, specific gravity ρ=2.307 g/cm3, thermal shock resistance (SJ 691-83) 257℃, water resistance (SJ 696-83) 2.07 mg/100 ml, acid resistance 0.49 mg/100cm2, alkali resistance 99.1 mg/100 cm2, TK-100(SJ 694-83)233℃.This glasa has many advantages, such as high electrical insulation, low electrical conductivity, dielectric loss angle and high chemical durability. Furthermore, it can also be used at higher temperature and sealed with metallic tungsten easily. BJ-40 Glass, as a new lamp glass, heat-resistanco container glass and lab apparatus glass, is now being produced in Beijing Glass Instrument Factory.更多还原
