【Abstract】 The main treatment method of "Processus Styloideus Syndrome" is to cut short the over-growth processus styloideus. Never before has special apparatus been used. The curette for sinus ethmoid and other substittute instruments were often used. Because the operation field is deep and narrow, when using substitute apparatus, it is not easy to expose proccssus sufficienfly, and the operation is quite difficult. The application of the self-made"separate and protcctive apparatus of processus styloideus" made it easier to find the processus styloideus, and avoid the disadvantage of substitute apparatus. This article reports 54 cases operative curative effect. Using substitute apparatus, the everage cutting length of processus for every side was 1.75cm.With the"separat and protective apparatus of processus styloideus’, it was 2.52cm. The time for operation 30-40 minutes shorter than the former. The total operative effective rate of this group was 77.8%更多还原
