【Abstract】 The germicidal efficacy of sodium dichloroisocyanurate-acetic acid solution was observed in laboratory. It was indicated experimentally that addition of 1～3 ml 36% acetic acid to 100 ml sodium dichloroisocyanurate could potentiate considerably the germicidal effect on Bacillus cereus spore and Escherichia coli. Solution containing 160 mg/L available chlorine with a 10 min contact time was required to kill completely the spores of B. cereus when scdium dichloroisocyanurate was used alone. By addition of acetic acid, solution containing only 40 mg/L available chlorine was enough to obtain the same result.Acetic acid can accelerate the decrease of concentration of available chlorine in solution of sodium dichloroisocyanurate. The higher the temperature, the more rapid the decrease. It is, therefore, better to prepare sodium dich loroisocyanurate-acetic acid solution just before use.更多还原
