【Abstract】 The themal degradation of poly(tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene)(F4(?)) has been investigated at 350~900℃ by pyrolysis-gas chromatography,combined with IR and thermogravimetry(TG)analysis.Among the pyrolysis gases at the temperature range,two monomers of the F46,tetrafluoroethylene(C2F4)and hexafluoropropylene(C3F6),are the major products.From the relative content of C3F6(or C2F4)plotted against the pyrolysis temperature,the copolymer clearly decomposes in two stages.The thermal degradation behaviour of the F46 was discussed in this paper.
