产生有效霉素的链霉菌一新种

【摘要】 <正> 1975年在浙江省海宁县的桑园土壤中,分离得到一株链霉菌,编号7823。该菌株所产生的抗生素对防治水稻纹枯病有显著作用,其化学结构相似于有效霉索(Validamycin)。7823菌株与Validamycin产生菌明显不同,又不同于已知的几株近似种。经鉴定认为,该菌株为链毒菌属中的一个新种。材料和方法 (一)菌株 1.链霉菌7823菌株系1975年分离自浙江省海宁县的桑园土壤中。 2.供试菌株主要由中国科学院微生物研究所提供,部份菌株本所保存。 (二)培养基培养特征和生理生化特性试验所用培养基均按《链霉菌鉴定手册》中的方法制备。

【Abstract】 The Streptomyces strain 7823 was isolated from the soil samples Collected from the mulberry plantation in Haining County, Zhejiang province. Its antibiotics strongly inhibited the growth of Pellicularia sasakii which causes the sheath blight of rice as well as other fungi.Ordinarily. the spore-bearing hyphae of the strain are spiral with one to three curls at the end of them. Spores are elliptical except a few spherical spores. There are irregular warts Or short thorns on their surfaces. The aerial mycelia are white to gray and the substrate mycelia are yellow to light brown, withered green. But the water soluble pigment is brownish yellow in most of tested media. The composition of cell wall of this strain is of type Ⅰ. In view of the morphological, cultural characteristics as well as biochemical properties, the strain 7823, by comparison with several relative strains, was identified as a new species and named Streptomyces hainingensis n. sp. Shi & Yan.
