【Abstract】 The largest beach in the east coast of Meizhou Island has undergone great changes under the action of the prevail northeastly: (1) The beach has retreated by the erosion in a large scale. (2) The apparent coarsening of the particle size has lelf the beach highly-rounded coarse sands, gravels and fragment shells.The medium-fine sands, carried away to the southwest coast covered a large area of the tidal flat and formed a tombolo. A 10 km beach with high quality sand formed in the south of the tombolo, is a potential resource for bathing beach.更多还原
