代谢抑制剂对萌发绿豆超弱发光的影响
EFFECTS OF METABOLIC INHIBITORS ON THE ULTRAWEAK PHOTON EMISSION FROM GERMINATING MUNGBEAN SEEDS
【摘要】 本文报导了A.D(actinomycin D)、EB(ethidium bromide)、CHI(cycloheximide)及NaN3,对萌发绿豆(胚根长1.5cm左右)的自发性超弱发光强度的影响的研究结果,提供了DNA分子和/或RNA合成代谢对超弱发光有贡献的证据.
【Abstract】 Effects of metabolic inhibitors on the intensity of ultraweak spontaneous luminescence of germinating mungbean(the mean radicle of which was about 1.5cm in length) were studied. The luminescence intensity of mungbean was decreased by 26% ,72% and 80% by an immersion of the mungbean in actinomycin D(50ppm), NaN3(650ppm) and NaN3(650ppm) + actinomycin D (50ppm), respectively. The inhibition of actinomycin D did show nothing, if ethidium bromide (2ppm) was added simultaneously. Cycloheximide had no effect on the luminescence. Mechanism of the ultraweak photon emission was discussed.Although the great majority of ultraweak luminescence in germinating mungbean associates with oxidative metabolism, a considerable part of the luminescence appears to be contributed by DNA moleculars and/or RNA synthetic metabolism and may be affected by oxidative metabolic processes (such as ATP formation). It is worth notice that qualitative differences exist between the effects of actinomycin D and ethidium bromide on the photon emission. Besides, it is of interest to note that processes concerning protein synthesis in cytoplasm make no contribution to the ultraweak light emission.
