【Abstract】 West European countries have grown more and more interested in investing in the countries and regions along the west coast of the Pacific since the 1980s. As a resttlt, a thorough competition has started between them and US and Japan. Amidst this upsurge of investment from Western Europe, the powerful transnational corporations act as its main forces while its aim is capital and technology intensive industries with the Far East including China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan as its focal region.
