KRS-5多晶光纤研制及10.6μm损耗
Loss of polycrystalline KRS-5 fiber at 10.6μm
【摘要】 <正>一、引言 目前,CO2激光传能光纤的研制已受到了人们的普遍重视。一些重金属卤化物,特别是KRS-5晶体(TLBr+TLI混晶),作为红外光学材料,早为人们所熟知。KRS-5晶体透射波长范围0.540μm,不易潮解。制成光纤的可挠性好,适于传输高功率CO和CO2激光,被认为是一种很有希望的材料。已用KRS-5晶体制成了多晶光纤[1],并试用于激光加工和激光手术器件中[2,3]。
【Abstract】 Polycrystalline fiber KBS-5 with 0.5~1mm in diameter and up to 10 metersr long have been prepared by an extru-sion method. The effects of fiber length and the features of fiber end on the mea-sured value of fiber loss are studied. After comparing the losses of KRS-5 fibers prepared in different conditions, possible ways to further reduce the fiber are briefly disucussed.
