【Abstract】 Forty-two osteosarcomas of varioustypes were studied ultrastructurally. It wasfound that osteosarcomas of differenttypes were composed of a variety of tumorcells, including osteoblasts, chondroblasts,fibroblasts,histiocytes, multinucleated giantcells, myofibroblasts and primitive mesen-chymal cells as well as its respective matrix,and one of them might be dominant.Thesefindings give a strong backing for thepresent histologic classification of osteosar-coma. Some specific structures were foundin the tumor cells, such as single cilia,branched cylindrical structures and intra-cytoplasmic lumen-like structure, whichhave not been reported before.Additionally,the componant of tumors,their relationship,the mode of forming neoplastic osteoidmatrix, and the histogenesis of osteosarco-mas are discussed in detail.更多还原
