【Abstract】 In this treatise we have reviewed the intelligence state of 86 cases of Endemic cretinism,and have contrasted these cases with the deaf-mute children of the non-disease area as well as with the normal children.These cases are between 7 and 25 of age,however,the intelligence age of them equals 6 or under. The I.Q.of 98.8 per cent of these cases is under 69,and the chief characte- ristics of the intelligence hindrance of these cases appear in the sense of direction, the concept of number,the ability of general reasoning,the sensibility of consciousness,the ability of abstract reasoning,the awareness of the sequence of number,the faculty of memory,the ability of learning,and the keenness of perception and indiffrentiation.It is evident that they fall behind the average in all the aspects mentioned above.更多还原
