【Abstract】 The Lower Carboniferous in the Longhuoarea of the Multinational Autonomous County ofLonglin is divided into two formations. The lo-wer is the Sanjiazhai Formation (equivalent toAikuanian), consisting of siliceous clastic rocks, unfossiliferous and 34m in thickness. The upperis the Longhuo Formation (equivalent to Tatan-gian), mainly composed of carbonate deposits, yi-elding abundant marine fossils and attaining a th-ickness of 188 m. This paper describe 22 genera and 25 speci-es, among which 1 genus, 1 subgenus, 21 speciesand 1 subspecies are new. All coral specimenswere collected from the Longhuo Formation ofthe Tatang stage in the Longhuo area. In this area, the coral fauna is outstandinglycharacteristic of the South China zoogeographicalprovince. There have been found some generasuch as Yuanophyllum, Kueichouphyllum and Ne-oclisiophyllum, which appear all over the Gui-zhou, and Guangxi regions, with occurrence ofcertain genera such as Siphonophyllia, Cyathaxo-nia, Palaeosmilia, Dibunophyllum, Carcinophyll-um, Lithostrotion and Corwenia, which generallyhave a wide distribution in the West European-Tethyan coral, and a few coral elements eitherfrom the Ural-Arctic area such as Aulokonincko-phyllum, Gangamophyllum, or from North Ame- rica such as Vesiculophyllum. During the EarlyCarboniferous time the sea of the Longhuo areawas connected with the European sea and possiblywith the North America sea. Description of new genus and new species Hapsiphyllum guangxiense sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 2) Septa much thickened with a long narrowcardinal fossula, and united at the periphery ofthe corals by thickening to form a wide stereo-zone. Major septa reaching the axis and arrangedin four groups. Minor septa long and contratin-gent. Tabulae complete, usually flat at the axis, but sloping downwards at the periphery. Amplexus longlinensis sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 4) Large, solitary corallum, with major septalong; and tabulae sinking downwards in the axialregion. Cyathaxonia longhuoensis sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 5) Columella small. Inner ends of major septathickened and expanded, appearing rhopaloid; mi-nor septa long; tabulae rarely and slightly con-cave. Siphonophyllia guangxiensis sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 1) Solitary coral with wide major septa dilatedparticularly in the tabularium and long; minorsepta represented only by short ridges on the in-ner wall. Cysto-dissepimentarium wide. Caninophyllum gigantum sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 9) Solitary large coral with wide tabularium andclose tabulae. Most major septa not extending tothe axial part of corallum; minor septa short. Vesiculophyllum minor sp. nov. (P1, III, fig. 6) Wide, lonsdaleoid dissepimentarium developedin cardinal quadrant rather than in counter qua-drant. Major septa weakly dilated in tabularium;minor septa absent. Cardinal fossula narrow. Paradiphyphyllum guangxiense sp. nov. (P1. II, fig. 3) Septa few, carinate, with a septal stereozone;major septa dilated and reaching aulos; minor se-pta short; dissepimentarium narrow; aular tabulaefew. Aulokoninckophyllum carinatum baishaiense subsp, nov. (P1. II, fig. 4) Septa short, with predominant yard-arm cari-nae in dissepimentarium; aulos large; tabular flo-ors in aulos complete and numerous. Aulokoninckophyllum latitabulatum sp. nov. (P1. II, fig. 8) Septa few, with minor ones short; aulos small, tabulae as axial series and periaxial series com-plete and rather distant; dissepimentarium nar-row. Aulokoninckophyllum guixiense sp. now- (P1. II, fig. 5) Septa thin, usually flexuous, with carinae;minor septa long. Tabulae floors in aulos com-plete, hut abaxial tabellae incomplete. Lophophyllum crassiseptatum sp. nov. (P1. III, fig. 7) Septa reaching axis and thickened in disse-pimentarium; a stort medial plate at the dilatedaxial end of the counter septum; tabulae small andusually arched, steeply inclined. Yuanophyllum guangxiense sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 8) Major septa not reaching axis; minor ones very short. Lath-like columella possibly continu-ous with counter septum and becoming flexuous inadult stage. Vesicular tabulae ascending towardcolumella. Dissepiments steeply inclined. Koninekinaotum arachnolasmoides sp. nov (P1. I. fig. 3) Septa numerous, dilated, with major ones notreaching to axis, and minor ones very long; a longmedial Plate weakly dilated and coajoined withcardinal septum; dissepimentarium wide, withlateral-dissepiments developed; tahulae incomple-te, arched upwards to join columella. Lithostrotion amygdaloides sp. nov. (P1. II, fig. 1) Cerioid corallites irregularly prismatic, withcarinate septa; wall thick; columella large, solid;some septa not reaching to wall leaving a periphe-ral zone of cysto-dissepiments; tabulae incomple-te, rising upwards to columella. Paracionodendron gen. nov. Cerioid corallites with thick wails. Septa oftwo orders. Microscopic structure of septa beingstout trabeculae. Carinae developed on both sidesof septa. Major septa reaching to columella; mi-nor ones about 1/2 the length of major ones. Co-tumella amygdalophyllid. Tabulae incomplete, gently ascending towards columella with periphe-ral tabellae in herringbone arrangement. Disse-Piments numeros, regular, small and globose. This genus resembles the genus Cionodendron, but it is characteristic of the massive corallum. Paracionodendron prismaticum gen. et sp. nov. (P1. II, fig. 7) Diagnosis; Same as, for, the genus. Corwenia yongjiangensis sp. nov. (P1. II, fig. 6) Corallum phacelloid large. Median platestraight and thickened; 1-2 septa on each sideshowing characteristic spider’s web column appe-arance in transverse section; tabulae closely Sur-rounding median plate; cardinal fossula conspi-cuous, narrow. Nervophyllum irregulare sp. nov. (P1. I, fig. 6) Corallum conical, solitary. Axial Columnlarge, With a thickened median plate and a fewradial lamellae; axial tabullae small and cvstoid, rising upwards to median plate; peripheral stereo-zone broad; tabuiae incompletc. Dibunophyllum longlinense sp. nov. (P1. III, fig. 1) Corallum with a rather small axial column, afew septal lamellae, short minor septa and a widedissepimentarium. Dibunophyllum (Guixidibunophyllum) subgen. nov. Corallum with axial collumn small, and me-dian plate especially thick. A dark median lineat centre of the median plate with radial fibresarranged on both sides of the median line. Dibunophyllum (Guixidibunophyllum) arachnolasmelloides subgen, et sp. nov. (P1. Ill, fig. 2) Diagnosis: Same as for the subgenus. Dibunophyllum (Guixidibunophyllum) crassiseptatum subgen. et sp. nov.
