【Abstract】 According to the new statistics of Glacier Inventory of China,there are 58,700 km~2 of glacier area in China, of which 49% is concentratedaround the Northwest arid area, 29% in the sources of big rivers on the edgeof Qinghai-xizang plateau.The Glacier Inventory of China has been done in acco-rdance with the river system, thereafter, this text have anew counted the glacierarea in accordance with the mountain range. The Kunlun mountain having thelargest area of glacier in China, is about 21% of all the glaciers in China. Thenext is the Himalaya mountain and Tianshan mountain. The glaciers in Chinaconcentrate around the highest peaks and become a few glaciation centre. Allthe area of glacier of glaciation centre is 26% of the glaciers in China. Thedistribution of snow line height and glacier type is greatly influenced by therlatitude and the precipitation and the topography condition.更多还原
