【Abstract】 The optical properties and viscocity behaviour of xanthan in the aqueous solution were studied at different concentrations and temperatures by polarized light microscope, Rheotest-2 viscometer and small angle light scattering methods. The aqueous solution of the xanthan shows the characteristics of cholestcric liquid crystal at a concentration of 3%. Formation of cholesteric liquid crystal depends on temperature.更多还原
