试论上扬子地台的峨眉地裂运动

ON EMEI TAPHROGENESIS OF THE UPPER YANGTZE PLATFORM

【摘要】 通过近年来综合研究,证实了晚古生代上扬子地台的峨眉地裂运动是中国扬子地台上的一次重大地质事件。它表现为上扬子地台西部的松潘-甘孜地区发育一系列小洋盆,向其东南缘(滇、黔、桂、湘)发育弧后拉张盆地,到上扬子地台内部(黔中和川中地区)拉张破裂为台块和台槽和大陆裂谷(康滇地区)等复杂的演化过程。

【Abstract】 Most part of The Yangtze paraplatform, named by Professor Huang Jiqing,appeared out of surface of the water after the Caledonian movement. There is noevidence of Devonian and Carboniferous sediment deposited during the time of paleo-con tinental drifting. In the late Paleozoic the Yangtze paraplatform was subjectedto a violent extensional movement in the Yunnan--Guizhou--Guangxi--Hunan on itssouthern margin and in the Songpan--Ganzi area on its northwestern margin. Taph-rogenesis began in the Devonian and was climaxed by the eruption of the Emeishanbasalt during the Late Permian. The structural features generated by the movementwas, however, distorted beyond recognition by the successive compressional folding ofthe Indo-sinian, Yanshanian and Himalayan movements. Therefore, geologists previ-ously paid little attention to their structural features. Only in recent years has theextensional movement been revealed. Therefore, the senior author (Luo Zhili, 1981)has named this extension the Emei Taphrogenesis, a phenomenon that was contro-lled by the neighboring tectonic units of the Yangtze paraplatform. It was primarilyaffected by the South China folding zone along its eastern margin during the Cale-donian and by the opening of the Tethys Sea on the northwestern margin duringthe late Paleozoic. Under the effect of the Emei Taphrogenesis the Yangtze para-platform underwent a significant episode of tensional tectonics. In this paper theauthors delineate the tectonic patterns associated with the Emei Taphrogenesis thatcan be used for bioherm oil exploration or mineral exploration.
