【Abstract】 The Cable Telemetry System (CTS), developed by Schlumberger in 1980s, isthe most advanced one at the present time. A comprehensive explanation ofcharacteristics and principles of this system has been given on the bases of suchconcepts as multiplexing, modulation, and cable transmission modes. The authormainly elaborates the structural features of the downhole tool bus and the formatof commands and data. A detailed analysis of the standard DTB interface has alsobeen made, so that it will be very easy for readers to use the CTS to transmitdata for any downhole tools with such an interface.更多还原
