【Abstract】 The direction of furfural catalytic hydrogenation and the competition between hydrogenation of furfural and hydrogenation of formed furfuryl alcohol are discussed on the basis of the experimental data obtained in the work and the chemical properties of furfural. The hydrogenation cataly,st and methods are reviewed. It is proposed that, in addition to improving the liquid-phase hydrogenation technology, the vapor-phase hydrogenation technology should be developed and that methods for production of furan derivatives, other than furfural alcohol and comprehensive utilization of purge hydrogen released from ammonia synthesis should be studied.更多还原
