国内外竹材造纸及其经济效益评价
THE PAPER MAKING OF BAMBOO AND ITS ECONOMIC BENEFIT IN THE WORLD
【Abstract】 The bamboo fiber is long and slender. The ratio of length to diameter or "slendehess" ratio is usually given as 190 for bamboo, 75 for softwood and 40 for hardwood. A high slendehness ratio is claimed to be beneficial for formation, opacity and softhess. Bamboo is intermadiate to southern pine and hardwood in its major chemical components of cellulose, hemicellulose (pentosans) and lignin, but ash of bamboo is high. The ash content of bamboo is 1-3 per cent. Bamboo’s chemical composition Leads it to dissolving pulp manufacture. This is a comprehensive paper based on the information concerning the bamboo pulp and paper making reported in China, India, Japan, Bangladesh, Burma, the Philippines, Anstralia and Russia etc. The content consists of foreword, fiber morphology and chemical composition of bamboo, general situation of the world’s bamboo pulp and paper industry and economic benefit of paper making of bamboo. It cites numerous facts showing that the economic benefit of using bamboo as row material is higher than that of using hardwood or softwood as raw material on paper making industry. Bamboos grow as over 300 species under a wide range of growth conditions in China; the most important one used for pulping is Phyllostachys pubescens. The area of bamboo groves is 3199600 hectare. In Taiwan there are over 59 species; Dendrocamus latiflorus and Bambusa dolichoclada are used there for pulping. The area of bamboo grove is 175, 638 hectare. In India there are over 138 species; Bambusa argundinacea, Bambusa nutan, B. polymorpha munro, B. tulda, B. vulgaris, Cephalostachyum pergracile, Derdrocalamus hamiltonii, D. longispathus, D. strictus, Melocanna baccifera are used there for pulping and the area of bamboo grove is 2,297,000 hectare. In Japan there are over 95 species, Phyllostachys pubescens is used there for pulping and the area of bamboo grove is 123,000 hectare. Mecanna baccifera, D. longispathus, Neouzeaua dulloa, Oxytenantera nigocliata, B. vulagaris are used for pulping in Bangladesh and the area of bamboo grove is 60 hectare. In Burma there are 90 spccies; B. polymorpha and Cephalostachyum pergracile are used the e for pulping and the area of bamboo grove is 217,000 hectare. In Philippines there are 55 species, Schizostachyum lumampao is used for pulping and the area of bamboo grove is 8000 hectare.
