INHIBITORY EFFCT OF LAK CELLS ON EXPERIMENTAL PULMONARY METASTASIS OF MAMMARY CARCINOMA(SST 2) IN SHR RATS
【Abstract】 Lymphokine-activated killer cells (LAK) were induced from normal splenocytes with IL-2. Passive administration of LAK cells inhibied the formation of experimental pulmonary metast asis of a mammary carcinoma (SST—2) in SHR rats and the survival times of the tumor-bearing animals were prolonged. According to the result of in vitro 51Cr-release, it was clear that LAK cells could kill SST—2 cells. A more effective result was obtained when a combination of LAK cells and IL—2 was used.
